**Voice Training Recording Brief — "Maya / Host Voice"**

**Setup checklist**
- Record 4 to 5 minutes total, single take preferred per segment
- Quiet room: close windows, turn off HVAC, hang a blanket behind you to kill echo
- One mic, fixed distance (a hand-span from your mouth), pop filter if you have one
- No music, no background TV, phone on airplane mode

**What to record (cover all four emotional registers):**
1. **Calm / neutral** — read the two prepared paragraphs below at a relaxed pace.
2. **Excited** — read the product-launch blurb like you're genuinely thrilled.
3. **Serious / sincere** — read the "why I started this" passage slowly.
4. **Playful** — improvise 60 seconds about your worst cooking disaster.

**Prepared text (read twice, once calm, once excited):**
"The best mornings don't start with your phone. They start with one quiet decision..."

**Tips while recording:**
- Leave a half-second of silence at the start and end of each clip.
- If you stumble, pause two seconds and re-read the full sentence — don't whisper-correct.
- Mix prepared and improvised speech; the clone learns your natural rhythm from the unscripted parts.
